Rita Grimm represents employers and insurance carriers before the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commissioner and the Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court and she represents individuals in matters regarding Social Security disability. Rita handles contested cases, mediations, appeals and third party claims. She also provides services as a mediator in workers' compensation cases and civil litigation, including medical malpractice and personal injury cases and real estate disputes. Rita has completed a forty hour mediation training course and participated in an advanced mediation seminar.
Rita lectures on Nebraska and Iowa workers' compensation issues and she actively participates in drafting and reviewing legislation that pertains to Iowa workers' compensation law. She chaired the Iowa State Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section from 1995 to 1996 and the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s Workers’ Compensation Committee from 2001-2006, and she co-chaired the Thirty-Fifth and Thirty-Sixth Annual Workers’ Compensation Symposia. She is a member of the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commissioner’s Advisory Committee.
